Most tipping groups don't make it to the Finals.

Spreadsheets get forgotten. Group chats go quiet. Whoever is running it gets tired of updating scores by hand every round. The Tipoff was built for long seasons — 165 games from September to February, then the Finals. Your competition keeps going because the platform runs itself.

Set Up Once. Run All Season.
Create your group, set your prize, share the link. From there, the platform handles results, leaderboards and stats automatically for every game.
Every Round, Sorted
Games are spread across the week, with most from Wednesday to Sunday. Tips lock at each tip-off — no admin, no chasing.
Something Worth Playing For
Set your own prize at the start — bragging rights, lunch, a trophy. Your group sees it every round.
Invite-Only Private Groups
Unique group code, QR link or shareable URL — your group only. Works for friends, family, a basketball club or the office. Members can join mid-season.

From sign-up to first tip in under two minutes.

1
Create Your Group
Sign up with Google or Email. Name your group and you're ready.
2
Set Your Season Prize
Name what the winner gets — bragging rights, lunch, a trophy. It's displayed to your group all season.
3
Invite Your People
Share a link, code or QR in WhatsApp, a group chat or Email. Friends, family, your basketball club, the office — members join instantly. No cap on size.
4
Tip All Season
Tip every round, watch the leaderboard move, and find out who actually knows the NBL.
🏟️

Every platform gives you a leaderboard. Only The Tipoff gives you the Match Wall.

When tip-off arrives, the Match Wall opens for every game your group tipped. You see everyone reacting to the same buzzer-beaters in real time — celebrations, arguments, the leaderboard shifting with every final score.

⚡
Live during every game
Opens at tip-off, closes at the final buzzer. Real-time reactions as the scoreboard moves.
👥
Open to all tippers
Every fan on The Tipoff who tipped that game joins the same wall — not just your group.
🔒
No competitor has this
A live, shared social layer on top of your tips — not just a static leaderboard.

Built to last the whole season.

Every feature in The Tipoff is designed to keep your group engaged from the first round to the final buzzer of the Finals.

👆
Swipe to Tip — 10 Seconds Per Game
Right for home, left for away. Open the app, make your call, done. Tips lock at tip-off, so there is no changing your mind after the first basket. Every call stands, every round.
📅
Season-Long Leaderboard
21 rounds and 165 games means plenty of chances to move up. The leaderboard updates automatically after every settled result. No manual tracking, no end-of-round admin — just a live ranking that tells you exactly where you stand from opening night to the Finals.
🏟️
Match Wall Every Game Night
When tip-off arrives, the Match Wall opens for every game you tipped. Follow results live with everyone else who had a tip, react in real time, and see buzzer-beaters and blowouts unfold basket by basket.
🎯
Two Ways to Rank — Grinder or Sharp
Pick your path. Grinders earn points for every correct tip — consistency wins over a full season. Sharps are ranked purely by accuracy percentage — quality over volume. Both modes run at the same time across every leaderboard, so you'll find out which kind of tipper you are.
🧠
Your Tipping DNA
Most platforms show you a number. The Tipoff turns every tip into a full analytics profile. See your accuracy by team, by night of the week, and by form. Your Statistics tab has the full breakdown — updated after every settled game.
🤝
My Circle — Rivalries Without the Admin
Not everyone wants to run a formal group. My Circle lets you follow the people you know and see exactly where you stand against them on the global leaderboard — no group creation, no admin, no invite codes. Follow a friend and the rivalry starts automatically.
🏀
Earn the Hoops Hero Badge
Get 20 NBL tips correct and the Hoops Hero badge goes on your profile for good. It sits alongside streak, accuracy and other sport badges, so the whole group can see who really knows Australian basketball.
🎁
Custom Prizes for Your Group
Set whatever prize you want at the start of the season — bragging rights, lunch, a trophy, anything. It stays pinned to your group all season so every member knows what they're playing for.
⚙️
Zero Admin All Season
Results settle automatically. The leaderboard runs itself. You set up your group once and spend the season following the league, not managing spreadsheets.

Your group competes privately. Your best tippers compete globally.

Every group runs on a private leaderboard — but every tipper also earns a rank on the global leaderboard. The best tipper in your group might be one of the best NBL tippers anywhere. Now you'll know.

🌍
Compete Worldwide
Every tip you make counts on the global leaderboard, not just in your group.
🎯
Grinder or Sharp — Globally
Both ranking modes run on the global table at the same time. Win on volume or on accuracy.
👥
My Circle — Rivals Anywhere
Follow anyone on the platform and see where you stand against them, even outside your group.

Common questions

When does the 2026-27 NBL season start and finish?
NBL27 tipped off on Saturday 19 September 2026 with Melbourne United hosting the Adelaide 36ers. The regular season runs for 21 rounds until Sunday 14 February 2027, followed by the Play-In and Finals. You can start a group now and tip the rest of the season.
How many teams are in the NBL?
Ten: Adelaide 36ers, Brisbane Bullets, Cairns Taipans, Illawarra Hawks, Melbourne United, New Zealand Breakers, Perth Wildcats, South East Melbourne Phoenix, Sydney Kings and Tasmania JackJumpers. Each team plays 33 regular-season games.
The season has already started. Can I still join?
Yes. Members can join at any point during the season and start earning points from the next game they tip, so a group started now can still compete for the rest of the season.
Can an NBL game end in a draw?
No. Overtime is played until there is a winner, so every tip is simply home or away.
How is this different from betting site tipping games?
The Tipoff has no affiliation with any bookmaker, sportsbook or gambling operator. There are no odds, no multis and no betting slips. It is completely independent — safe for every friend group, family group, workplace or club, with no gambling involvement whatsoever.
Is The Tipoff free to use for the whole season?
Yes — completely free. No credit card, no subscription, no betting. Tip every NBL game from now to the Finals.
