Can I play NBA pick'em on my own, without joining a group?

Yes. Every pick you make counts on the Global Leaderboard, so you can compete against NBA fans worldwide from day one. You can join or create a private group at any time later, and your picks count in both places.

Can a bar or sports club run an NBA competition without it being gambling?

The Tipoff is a free-to-play prediction game with no wagering, no odds and no money passing through the platform. Venues choose their own prize, such as a bar tab or a trophy. Prize rules vary by location, so check what applies where you are.

Can family members overseas join a retirement village group?

Yes. Anyone with the group's invite link or code can join from any country, so relatives can compete on the same leaderboard as residents and follow the same games all season.

What if we miss opening night? Can people join later?

Yes. Groups and individual players can join at any point in the season and start picking straight away. Starting before 20 October simply means every game counts towards your total, which matters most in Grinder mode.

Do I need to download an app to play?

No. The Tipoff works in any web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Sign up with Google or Email and you can make your first picks straight away.
